Name: Kruos Matico Cryastel De Frey-Nal the XVII  ( /krý.os/ /mah-teek-oh/ /kry-ayes-tel/ /day-fray-nahl/ )

Kruos is greek, matico comes from mathematics in spanish (matematico), Frey is another word for ice in some language…, Nal comes from the end part of his species name. His name is an ode to his species name meaning, the geometrical snowflake.

Nicknames: Krous Nal (call him either or both), Kruos Matico (family refers to him to avoid confusion with his father),

• Rapid Spin- Spins the swallow in arcs around his body.

• Attract- Lulls the ladies with sweet words...sometimes it backfires leaving Kruos with a punch to the gut.

• Bind- Creates a chain of ice to snare the opponent to restrict their movements.

• Protect- Creates a wall of ice to deflect physical attacks.

Likes: Being number 1, seeing rare sights, his good looks, and double chocolate chip peppermint ice cream. Touch the ice cream and you will be frozen.

Dislikes: Getting old, getting hit in the gut by a failed attract attempt, getting hit in the gut by Beartic, and being alone.

Personality: A self-centered, arrogant, skirt-chaser, and a would be hero hailing from the Water Kingdom. Nal thinks of only himself and his boasts the Frey-Nal family's support to the current Queen. He only says it because he loves to be the center of attention, and will try risky stunts in battle to earn some praise. Despite his parents' clamour for responsibilty to the Frey-Nal estate, Kruos would rather ride on his pet Beartic all over the countryside, claiming there’s villians as an excuse to go fight. When Kruos is not off on would-be adventure he is off partying at Elemental Island polishing his attract move that always fails. At least one he can be relied on as his rapid spin technique is one of his self proclaimed, "The coolest attack in my arsenal." 

Biography/History:

    The Frey-Nal family has a long history of supporting the Kingdom of Umearia by producing the finest soldiers for the Grand Army. The family takes pride of the generations soldiers who dutifully support the Queen. After the rise of Queen Callypso, the Frey-Nal family was able to keep their estate and wealth by providing support to the Grand Army. Part of their estate provides boarding to new recruits and houses training sessions. The wealth acquired by the family used to support in various political and economical matters for the Kingdom.

    Before the Water Kingdom became the way it was now, Media and Kruos Argonal, the heads of the Frey-Nal family, struggled to produce a child. After many lost children, Kruos Matico was born and the Frey-Nal family was overjoyed they now have an heir to the estate and its wealth. An aristocrat from birth Kruos learned at a young age everything was given to him, rank, title, money, fame, and division. He never had to lift a finger for anything throughout most of his life.

    When Kruos turned 7, the abolishment of the noble changed the way the family ran but still set in their old ways gave the life Kruos could have had. This turned to be a critical point as he grew older, when he found out he had a star-sign. His life will take a drastic change for the Frey-Nal family. Nal thought it was merely a tattoo marked upon from birth. Kruos’ parents fed up with his silly antics putting the Frey-Nal name to shame and sent him away to the Grand Army to learn the meaning of discipline, hard work and gain some dignity.

Weapon: Crystal Freedom a dual bladed sword or a swallow. (Inspired by the weapon the main hero, Serge, uses in Chrono Cross). The blades are made of ice. Inside each end of the blades are containers for storing water to supply the blades.

Fun Facts: Random bits of info on the character creation of Kruos.

• In the full body image above I found the chain blade was not put right. Which made me think this fact can be put to good use. Kruos has put his weapon together incorrectly. The Chain Blade has been placed on reverse which may cause future pain if left unchecked...
  
  
• Kruos' design was from a dream I had. Apparantly all I remember from it was playing a game where I saw a character and then drew out the image you see above (full body). The weapon was finalized afterwards as all I could remember it being an Axe. The character was wearing winter themed long jacket.
